The winner of the 2009 photo award of the German publishing house Gruner + Jahr is
Johannes Mink, a young photographer who will be encouraged in his professional career by Picture Press, the G+J photo agency. The promotion of young talents is an important goal of the award.
395 photographers attended this year. Johannes won in the category 'advertising/people'. Only recently, he delivered his first photo production to Picture Press who will distribute his photographs globally.
The main subject of the award was “vitality”. It is a very ambitious challenge to catch a moment that you can not plan perfectly. “He has shot the best photographs of all participants“ said Gunnar Zink who is responsible for supporting photographers within the agency.
